Work together as a team

I was amazed on how natural they began to work as a team. Lucia wanted to push the bike, and Noarai didn't manage to pedal. If Noarai stopped Lucia waited patienly and if Lucia stopped Noarai asked her to push. It was a heavenly moment. How hard is for us to work with other people and how natural the children can do it. My pray is God help me to learn to work like this.

Mommy, Jesus is with you!

After a hard argument with my husband I started to cry. My big girl (2.5 years) held my hand, looked at me and said "mommy don't worry Jesus is with you!!!" I just started to laugh and gave her a big hug. Thank you Jesus for this blessing you gave me, thank you because she knows that you are with us and you help us.

The shelter of God's promises by Sheila Walsh has been a challenge in my life

In this world of problems and sufferings the book focuses on how God is the real answer to them. It takes Bible verses to remind us that we have hope. God continuously gives us what we need: provision, peace, confidence, love, grace, hope, strength and the most important: a future, a goal.

This book has challenged me a lot. I’ve got new insights while reading how Jesus stops the Gergesene demoniac (Mark 5) and how he promised to stop my mind (sometimes impossible for me) and bring me peace. Or studying through the Samaritan how even our worst acts (touching Jesus with her impure hands) can be used by God to help us find our way home to His heart. The thought that there is a promise for every problem and this way we can stop Satan’s lie (“you will never change!”) replacing it for Bible promises, like Jesus did. “We have great needs in life and there is only one way to have those needs met…prayer, prayer, prayer” This book has a lot of Bible content, each day you will enjoy it reading new verses and new ideas that will prepare you to live the challenges of your life holding on to God’s promises. It took me 3 months to read it and it was because each page was full of interesting ideas and real life aplications.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Working for a helping heart

This past month Noarai started to have some problems with her chores and anything I asked her. So I decided to accomplish different things to help her change her mind.

1. The thing that she enjoys the most are videos so I searched youtube and found this three awesome videos. We have seen each one for a week.
WEEK 1

WEEK 2

WEEK 3

2. I also realized that I wasn't giving any reward for her good behaviour. So we used the printable "Do anything without complaining" for letter d curriculum RRSP
and each time I caught her doing her job happy we stuck and stick with a happy face. I explained her that when the page was full of sticks we would go by train.

3. The reward. Our first reward was going by bus to a park and our last reward was going by train to Valencia. Here you've got the picks:
a) At the train station

 b) having a walk in valencia
 c) Eating a donut for her very first time. I don't like her to eat sugary items, but as we were studing letter d and in the vocabulary cards we had a donut I gave her the chance.
Just a simple thing as going by train was one of her happiest day ever. She knew that she had worked hard for having this reward.
This simple method was a miracle with her and I have learned that she needs much more rewards than punishments.

Happy Birthday Rut!!!!

My big sister is a very important person in my life. First of all I'm here because she asked my parents for a sister. She's 9.5 years older than me and she has been my mother, my friend, my teacher, my helper. I discovered what was life through her, what was enjoying music, what was studying a career, what was working, what was having a boy friend, what was marrying, what was having a baby, what was overcoming difficulties, what was life.
She has been there every moment I had needed her. She had listened to me for hours, she had given me lots of tips and lots of love. She's a great woman and each day I love her more.
This year I have missed her a lot, more than I can say in words (as she has moved to Miami). But I know that even in the distance she's next to me in her spirit.

I want to send my love to you in your 37th birthday.
I love you very much!!!!

Wordless Wednesday- Give me your peace

Noarai was on learning time. And I gave her some sticks to decorate her letter d while I went to the bathroom for a second. When I came back I saw this:
Even though her sister stuck on her several circles and she didn't like it at all, she could give me this beautiful smile as a present. She wasn't angry, or crying she was in peace as if nothing happened before.

At night time while I was reviewing the pictures of the day, I thought about this situation. Her sister was making something bad and she didn't want to have those sticks on her face, but she was so happy and peaceful. As I asked God about this situation he gaved me this verse as a present:

"If you make the Most High your dwelling-even the Lord, who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent" PSALM 91:9-10

What God was trying to tell me was that he is not going to take the difficulties of me, but I won't be harmed because I would have his peace in my soul (like Lucia).God fill me with your peace and let me walk through this life with your protection.

Wordless Wednesday

I want to share a funny moment of my girls. We were on baby playing time, having fun with scarfs and playing peekaboo. Well Lucia (the baby) is getting really good at taking off the scarf when placed on her face. Noarai was trying to place the scarf on her face and it was just imposible. As you can see in the picture.
So she had a great idea, I'm going to place the scarf from her back. Can you see her happy face?
Finally she caught her, but for only few seconds.

This made me think about our life. We get caught by so maaaaany things. We tried to skip each one, but sometimes they come from places we aren't prepared to skip. God give me your freedom, and take off the veil so that I can see you, because all alone I can do anything.
“contemplate the Lord’s glory” so that we might be “transformed into His likeness.” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18)

I want you to be my help

Acting Balanced

"Do not put your trust in princes, in mortal men, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God" Psalm 146:3

After reading this verse I realized that I was putting my trust in my husband. I was happy if he was doing what I wanted, I was sad If I didn't connected with him, I wanted him to change lots of things, I wanted, I wanted... What would happen if something happens to him? What is happening to me? As one reader suggested to me last week, when someone becomes annoying is because you have something to change towards him. And YESSSS it was true.
God has given me this verse as a present this night and I want to share it with you. I want to set aside all of my wondering and put the Lord in the first place. God, help me to change.

Wordless Wednessday

On Chirstmas Eve we gathered all the family, I was only able to take these two pictures but I want to share them. One of my girls with her Christmas hair bands all concentrated in the party. And one of the special activity we did this year: We used tea bags offering a gift to baby Jesus, you can see my cousin saying his present, after that he used a lighter and the tee bag lifted as it burned. "But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" Matthew 6:20-21. It was a nice introduction to the presents, and you can see the girls all interested.
The next day we recived this present from my sister (two santa's costumes) they were very beautiful

And for finishing I want to share my little angel.

I wish you a happy new year!!!!!

Give me your water

Acting Balanced"The Lord will guide you allways; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-schorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden like a spring whose waters never fail" Isaiah 58:11

I was asking God, how I can overcome a dry moment in my marriage. How I can be patience if everyday we've got the same problems, kind if there are some words that have hurt me,  not self-seeking if I'm thirsty of love, not easily angered if our relationship is getting hard, not keeping records of wrong if I've got so many to count, always trusting if we always have the same problems, always persevering if I just feel some times like giving up.
As we are working in our marriage as a couple, I have realized that my attitude is not helping at all. That I have lots of anger I don't like, that I get discourage and grumpy at the first problem. And I say to The Lord please guide me. You know that I need to be loved!!!
This morning he has given me this verse as a present. God is with us allways, he has the better water to water our garden even if we are in a sun-schorched land.
So my prayer today is: God feel all my needs and help me to be a blessing for my husband and my family. Help me revive and work for this marriage each day. God streghthen my marriage.
As I was looking at this picture I was thinking about Lucia and Jero's relationship. She's open to the love of her daddy, she is filled with all her needs, she gets excited of just seeing him passing by, she giggles in delight if he kisses her. God, help me to be filled with all your love and enjoy him in the same way.
This is my wish for this new year!!!!!! And my present for daddy:)

Come over tomorrow and link up to Daddy's time Friday. Just pick some pictures of your husband with the kids and show him some words of love. Happy Christmas!!

Words of wisdom Wednesday

First of all I have to say that Noarai loves being with people. Every day before bed time I ask her "what was your favorite thing of the day?" she usually says "daddy, or yaya..." the person that she has been playing with that day.
When I asked her "Why do we celebrate Christmas?" she said "for anty, for tata, for tete and uncle" We are living in Spain and since August my sister (anty) and her family are living in Miami. Well for Noarai we celebrate Christmast for them:)
Then I adapted the question for her and asked her "Whose birthday is on Christmas?" she answered "Baby Jesus"
And finally after explaining her that we are not going to see her beloved anty, I asked her "What do we do to celebrate Christmast?" she said "yaya juli, yayo jose, papa, mama, lucia..." For her Christmas is another opportunity for being with people. I love this sweet girl.

The lost sheep

Raising Rock Stars

This month we are studying the lost sheep in sabath school. You can find our materials here. So at home we are having fun with the story as well. 1. Mr. Froggy said Good morning to the house sheeps this week.

2. We looked in the mirror at Jesus Sheeps.

3. We put on our Sheperds costumes.

4. We looked all over the house for the lost sheep. Noarai had fun hiding it and then looking for it. Lucia has giggle a lot with this game.

5. We feed our sheeps water and grass. Sorry no pictures. 6. And we sang our sabath school song for the Christmast party. We remembered that when we are with Jesus- Sheperd like the sheeps we are not sad, or hungry instead we shine because we are very happy. She only sings the fist verse:
Velas, Velas, Brillan, Brillan (candles, candles, Brights, Brigths)
Velas, Velas, Brillan en mi. (Candles, candles, Brights on me) Jesus,Jesus, Brilla en mi (jesus, jesus brights on me)
Jesus, Jesus, Brilla en mi (jesus, jesus, Brights on me)
